Just a matter of days after taking down the largest prize ever awarded in poker, Insta Poker pro Antonio Esfandiari is back on the felt at the 2012 WSOP for the $10,000 buy-in Main Event. Playing in Day 1C of this massive event, Antonio is looking to take on a much larger field – officially 6,598 entrants – than the 48 he went up against in the $1 million buy-in “Big One for One Drop” charity event in which he won $18,346,673. That win makes Antonio the winningest poker tournament player of all time with a little more than $22 million in earnings.
Right now, Antonio is past the dinner break at Day 1C of the 2012 WSOP Main Event with about 40,000 in chips. The winner of this event, who will be crowned a week from now, will take home just a little more than $8.5 million. Can Antonio make this a $26 million summer? We’ll keep you posted as he progresses through this event.
